Killers Of The Flower Moon: A Sobering, Slow-Burning American Epic

For his 26th feature film, Killers Of The Flower Moon, legendary director Martin Scorsese reteams with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro and forges a tight bond with the Osage nation to respectfully and authentically tell this true story of Indigenous injustice. Based off the book of the same name by David Grann which focuses more on the investigation of the sinister murders of the Osage, Scorsese interestingly pivots the film’s focus to the love and betrayal that rests at the center of the tragic story, yielding profound and sobering results.

The long wait is finally over! Nope, the next exciting vision from Jordan Peele, is finally here, and it’s sure to take audiences for an entertaining and unexpected ride. This go around, Peele creates fear out of open spaces and will certainly have you looking at clouds in a different light. It will be hard to avert your eyes, but look at your own risk; this spectacle may just suck you up and spit you out.

With Cry Macho, Clint Eastwood climbs back in the Western saddle for the first time since 1992’s classic Unforgiven. After nearly 30 years, his return is hardly a triumph. This ambling slow-burn isn’t without its charms, but its soft-boiled sentiments on masculinity don’t amount to much, either.
